Lecture Subject The presentation will provide an overview of the events of the 18/19th November 2009. The immediate impact on a variety of assets will be illustrated together with an insight into the ongoing damage caused by the subsequent severe winter. The activities undertaken by the various partners in Cumbria Highways will be discussed, including Bridge Inspections, traffic management issues, the procurement of the temporary road bridge in Workington and the repair of Workington (Calva) Bridge Lessons learnt from this unprecedented event will be highlighted.
