We are delighted to announce that the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Annual Dinner for 2012 will be held on 14th June 2012 at the Washington Central Hotel, Workington and is set to be the biggest and most prestigious dinner to date with main speaker Sharron Davies MBE Olympic and Commonwealth Champion. Including Girls In Engineering Event.

We are delighted to announce that our annual Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Dinner for 2012 will be held on 14th June 2012 at the Washington Central Hotel, Workington and is again set to build on the success of last years dinner.

This year we are delighted to have Dawn James, Engineering Director for Sellafield Limited, present to award the best Lakes College National Certificates and we will be once again welcoming our President Rod Smith from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, to keep us up to speed with events and news from corporate HQ in London

We are also proud to announce that our VIP guest for the evening will be Sharron Davies MBE, the ex-Olympian and television personality. Sharron Davies, MBE now works in television and as a motivational speaker she is also an official Olympic Ambassador.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers would like to take this opportunity to thank all its members for their support and we look forward to seeing you at the annual dinner.

The top event in our Calendar, make sure you make a date in your diary for another splendid evening of top speakers, entertainment, and a chance to celebrate the best in engineering in West Cumbria.

The evening is sure to be an excellent opportunity to meet up with friend and colleagues, as well as a chance to enjoy some good local food and drink, and to see at first hand the excellent work that the college is doing to train and educate our next generation, while helping to celebrate the world class engineering diversity available in this beautiful part of the world.
