The West Cumbria Area of the IMechE is dedicated to promoting professional engineering throughout the region. Members Whilst IMechE head office provides invaluable help, guidance and information to professional engineers, this website is directed at matters and issues relating directly to the local engineering community. Prospective MembersTo some, the thought of the effort required to become chartered can be daunting. However, this need not be the case. IMechE Head Office has some in-depth assistance online and via the telephone but the West Cumbria Area is also dedicated to providing ‘Get Chartered’ lectures and occasional ‘Membership Surgeries’. Keep an eye on this website and for upcoming events. IMechE North West Region Events All Those Who Are Interested in Engineering This site has been created and maintained by the West Cumbrian IMechE. However, engineering is a topic that interests a wide range of people, inspires careers and fuels the imagination of many. This is by no means a closed society.
